One of Northern Ireland’s millinery matriarchs, Marie-Claire Ferguson will be debuting her latest collaboration with print artist Lucy Turner entitled Paperhat. A change of course into the other accessory avenues, Paperhat presents a range of luxury scarves hand screen printed with Lucy’s designs and made from Northern Irish linen. The line also includes a range of contemporary bags and wallets made with accents of metal work and felt, all alongside a capsule collection of casual Marie-Claire Ferguson hats.

A new fashion brand forged out of friendship, Marie-Claire and Lucy sparked their joint-enterprise while sheltering from a rainstorm in a yurt, some months later the first prototypes began to take shape. The new line maintains the design ethos of Marie-Claire’s preceding collection Bauhaus and its embodiment of wearable art. Blending Lucy’s colourful and contemporary art with Marie-Claire’s forte for hand-blocking sharp lines, the pair has achieved a sweet balance between each artist’s specialties.

The full Paperhat collection will be available to purchase online at the brand’s online store, launching November 2016, along with a select number of local fashion and interiors boutiques.
