Seedhead Arts have been fortunate enough to get to work with the enigma that is artist DMC for several years now, and we were thrilled when he agreed to reveal a little of the man behind the paint during the recent Hit the North conference. Arguably he revealed a little more than we expected, but after a wee lie down and some expert psychological intervention, we all feel reasonably prepared for another run at it during Design Week.
Join Dermot as he gives an awkward insight into his creative process, hatred for onions, paintings in the city and his ongoing love affair with traffic wardens and privately owned carparks.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions about his practice, artwork and that infamous lazy-river incident with Pam St Clement at Lisburn pool.
“I had the flu ages ago and seen DMC’s piece on North Street, Belfast. It moved me. I felt a real sense of happiness, like a pot noodle in a hot tub kinda buzz.” –Gerard, Lisburn
