Destination CQ Urban Design Challenge Exhibition Opening

  • PLACE 7-9 Lower Garfield Street, Belfast, BT1 1FP Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 1PT United Kingdom (map)

Belfast Design Week, in partnership with Destination CQ Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District, Blick Studios, coffeenosugar service design agency and PLACE Built Environment Centre, has been running an urban design challenge for local students and recent graduates. On the run up to Belfast Design Week young designers from across Northern Ireland have been working as teams to develop concept proposals for the spaces between the buildings within Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District (CQ BID).

This unique urban design challenge has asked entrants to create a concept that will make the area an inviting, welcoming and attractive space for events, activities, working, studying or living in the area.

Join us at the exhibition opening to see the Urban Design Challenge entries and to hear a bit more about the challenge, meet the designers involved and to see the successful team awarded the prize fund of £1000
