Northern Threads

  • Titanic Belfast 1 Olympic Way Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT3 9EP United Kingdom (map)

Titanic Belfast Curates… Northern Threads, a celebration of style, creativity and contemporary design in Northern Ireland.

Bringing together some of the most exciting designers working here today, the exhibition showcases how fashion and textile design is bold, expressive and deeply connected to place. It’s about what’s being created now, and the ideas, stories and influences shaping it.

At the heart of Northern Threads are four designers working in Northern Ireland today:

Gráinne Maher
Hope Macaulay
Kindred of Ireland by Amy Anderson
Eadach by Sara O’Neill

Learn more about the designers here.

From sculptural knitwear and reimagined linen to narrative prints and handcrafted accessories, each brings a distinctive point of view. Their work is rooted locally but resonates globally, reflecting a creative scene that is confident, evolving and full of character.

Woven throughout the exhibition are threads of Northern Ireland’s textile past, offering glimpses of the materials and traditions that continue to inspire today’s designers.

Northern Threads brings these influences together, showing how they continue to shape what’s being created today.
