Beyond the Visual: Designing Brands Through Storytelling

  • Storybox Workshop Space, Portview Trade Centre 310 Newtownards Road Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT4 1HE United Kingdom (map)

In a world where we’re constantly surrounded by visuals, what makes some work stay with us while other work fades?

This session by Yellow Zest explores the space beyond aesthetics, where design becomes something more than what it looks like. Together, we’ll look at how storytelling shapes the way people experience, understand and connect with a brand.

Drawing from experience working with early-stage businesses and founders, this session also reflects on what happens when creative ideas meet real-world conditions. Many strong ideas struggle not because of the quality of the work, but because the thinking behind them isn’t clearly translated into something others can understand, value and engage with.

Through examples, prompts and guided reflection, you’ll begin to:

* better articulate the thinking behind your work

* understand how your ideas are being perceived by others

* identify where clarity may be missing between intention and communication

* explore how storytelling can strengthen the connection between your work and its audience

We’ll explore how meaning, clarity and intention influence not just how work is seen, but how it is received, remembered and carried forward, particularly when creative ideas move beyond the studio and into the real world.

This is a thoughtful, open session for designers, creatives and anyone interested in the deeper layers of brand and communication, especially those curious about how their work can connect, resonate and hold value over time.
