How might we design death rituals which are rooted in curiosity, care and human connection?

  • HALT (Weavers Cross) 22 Great Victoria Street Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT2 7BJ United Kingdom (map)

Death is a universal experience which we collectively face yet there’s often little consideration of the ways in which we design for this final event.

Ritualisation is an ancient response to change, loss and death and offers powerful opportunities to creatively interpret and ascribe meaning to our unique human journeys. Join us for an experiential evening (7.00pm - 9.00pm) where we will meet, connect and explore the ways in which we might design death rituals which are rooted in curiosity, care and human connection.

This is an experiential workshop and as such participant engagement is required throughout the duration of the event. It is respectfully asked that you do not register if you are unable to attend in full. Due to the nature of this delivery, participant numbers are limited to 16. The workshop will take place in  an informal setting, accessible by wheelchair, where alcohol will be served.

Although the workshop will take place in a dedicated space within HALT,  there will be noise and other sensory considerations which may impact your decision to attend. Digital technology will not be used for the presentation of information during this workshop therefore audio description or captioning will not be available. Please document additional needs (if any) in the dedicated space within the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate. Alternatively you can directly contact Shelly.dolan@gmail.com to discuss further.
