Seasons of Career

  • The MAC 10 Exchange Street Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 2NJ United Kingdom (map)

Seasons of Career is an opportunity for designers at all stages in their career to come together to talk about their ‘season’.

From the challenges and joys of starting out, to pivoting your career, reigniting your passion and intergenerational learning. Listen to our speakers talk about their season, with an open floor discussion at end.

  • Student & Junior Designers on the challenges they are facing and being daunted about getting a job, or the sheer joy of being an enthusiastic learner and explorer.

  • Mid-Career Designers, how to grow or pivot your career, getting stuck in a rut and how to reignite your passion.

  • Senior Designers, the benefits of intergenerational learning. What advice would you give to young designers? How to get rid of imposter syndrome? The joys of freeing yourself and not giving a damn in your 'later' season.

Jamie Mawhinney - Shesaid Design Student Intern

Graphic designer on my placement year from Belfast School of Art. First got hooked tinkering with a pirated copy of Adobe during A-Levels and haven't looked back since. Thriving most in motion design, there's nothing better than taking a project through every stage and bringing it fully to life at the end through motion!
