Homewerk Project: Belfast By Design

  • Blick Shared Studios 46 Hill Street Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 2LB United Kingdom (map)

Step into the city with fresh eyes for the May Bank Holiday weekend!

As part of Belfast Design Week, this Homewerk Project is a guided creative adventure where participants are each assigned a unique building or place to explore in Belfast city. Armed with a set of thoughtful research prompts, you’ll explore and respond to unique design details and hidden histories that shape Belfast’s streets.

You’ll head out on a one-hour solo mission, completing a series of quick creative tasks along the way, before diving into a focused 30-minute response, sketching, writing, photographing or recording what you’ve discovered.

Then we regroup. Through informal sharing, conversation and show-and-tell, the city is reassembled through the unique perspectives of each participant, part research, part creativity, part collective storytelling.
